J61 One Stone at a Time
Another page in my “Out of India” holiday journal – this started as a temple sketch done with a pen while standing outside the Meera temple in Chittorgarh Fort while I was there in December. I then spent ages working to get the perspective right on those scallopped edges – literally one section or stone at a time so am using it in response to the Documented Life Project Week 12 journal prompt of Coming into Focus with an art challenge of Mark Making as a Focal Point.
I also used the little wooden flower stamp made for me by a master wood block maker at the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing near Jaipur as well as a suitable collage item and ticket stub I collected whilst there.

It was a delight to watch my little block being made.
